Our history

It was all started by Claude Walter, a graduate in industrial engineering, while working as a manager for Percussions de Strasbourg. He was responsible for managing the technical production, repair and maintenance of instrumental park and touring logistics. The many road and air transport instruments required packaging solutions and appropriate and efficient protection. Being passionate and creative, he made his first set of flight-cases to address these constraints.
Rythmes & Sons was born from the needs identified and experienced in contact with professionals from all over the world.

Claude and Catherine WALTER founded the company in 1981.

 

 

 

To date, Rythmes & Sons has 3 divisions: 

Design and manufacture of flight-cases

The production of 20,000 flight cases per year allows us to position ourselves as one of the world's leading manufacturers.
Based in the Grand Est region (Illkirch) since its inception, we have 8,000m2 of buildings which include a design office, a sales department, a production and storage unit.
We offer adequate solutions for multiple sectors of activity (events, industry, medical, automotive, fashion, military, etc.).
In order to guarantee fast delivery times, we have developed a wide range of standard flight cases kept in stock. For specific requests, our design office develops tailor-made technical solutions.

 

Orchestral furniture design and manufacturing

Rythmes & Sons designs and manufactures orchestral furniture adapted to the needs and requirements of conductors, musicians and stage managers.
The production is entirely carried out in the Grand Est region (67) with quality raw materials cut with care and attention.
We equip orchestras around the world. Our close collaboration with users allows us to develop our equipment to adapt it to current needs and requirements.

 

 

Distribution, design, manufacture and repair of orchestral percussion instruments

We distribute the biggest brands on the market: Adams, Cadeson, Concorde, Ludwig, Majestic, Musser, Premier, Schiedmayer, Yamaha ...
We design and manufacture orchestral percussion instruments specific to certain works in close collaboration with the artists.
Our maintenance and repair service allows us to sustain your equipment.
